Services include: *Substance Abuse information and referrals *HIV/AIDS information *Brochures and Videos *MICA (Mentally Ill Chemical Abusers) program information *Crisis Intervention counseling

Phoenix House
Phoenix House provides alcohol and drug abuse treatment and prevention services as part of more than 123 programs in 11 states. They work with teens at risk, support clients in recovery, and offer a wide range of treatment options for adults and adolescents, including:
  • Assessment and Evaluation
  • Detoxification
  • Outpatient and Residential Programs
  • Sober Living Residences
  • After-School and Day Programs for Teens
  • Case Management
  • Special Womens Services
  • Programs that serve Substance Abusers with mental health problems
They also operate Phoenix House Academy, a residential high school where teens can make up schooling lost to drugs and recapture opportunities for higher education and careers. Eleven Phoenix House Academies now operate in seven states. See more at: phoenixfoundation.org
 

Nurses Association, NYS, SPAN (Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses)

SPAN
The confidential Statewide Peer Assistance for Nurses (SPAN) program offers peer support, links to community resources, educational programming and advocacy for New York State-licensed registered nurses and licensed practical nurses affected by alcohol and drug-related problems. SPAN:
  • provides one-to-one mentoring
  • operatores peer support groups throughout the state
  • links nurses with appropriate community resources
  • presents educational programming for individuals and organizations concerned about the impact of alcohol and drug-related problems on the nurse workforce
  • advocates for program participants with employers and regulatory agencies
