The Mental Health Association in Tompkins County (MHATC) and its Starlight Peer Advocacy Center for Empowerment (SPACE) now offer a support group for people with any bi-polar diagnosis (Bi-polar I or II, Cyclothymia, BP-NOS, etc.), including those with a dual diagnosis or co-occurring disorder.

The Adult Clinic provides services to adults in Tompkins County affected by any type of mental illness and who can be treated on an outpatient basis. The Clinic treats a full range of disorders from situational anxiety and depression to severe mental illness. The Clinic also addresses the clinical needs of adults with chronical mental illness.
Specialized psychotherapy is provided in individual, family and group settings.
Education on mental illness, its symptoms, prognosis and treatment is part of outpatient therapy.
Medication Management provides understanding of medication and its effects, side effects and role in treatment.

DOORS (Domestic Offense Offender Re-education Services) is an educational program for heterosexual men, eighteen years of age and older, who have used violence or other abusive methods/behaviors to control their current and/or former female partners. The program's main goals are to teach participants to take responsibility for their behavior and to learn positive alternative and effective relationship skills.
DOORS is a group format. Participants can choose the Wednesday group, 6-7:30 pm or the Friday group, 10-11:30am.
To receive a Certificate of Attendance, participants must attended, and be credited for, 48 classes. Completing DOORS typically takes more than one year.
DOORS classes are not covered by any third-party payer; all participants are self-pay. A sliding fee scale, based on household income, is available.

EOS assesses individuals with acute mental health needs and/or psychiatric crises through phone consultations and face-to-face visits. EOS staff can:
- assistance during the business week to individuals and families with mental health needs that have become a crisis
- ongoing consultation to local law enforcement agencies, assisting them in resolving mental health problems that come to their attention
- consultation with other government agencies, local business and members of the community
- specially-trained staff for on-site, expert consultation as part of a regional Critical Incident Negotiation Team (CINT)to help law enforcement with hostage negotiations, barricaded subjects and other critical incidents
