Give Back a Smile is developed to restore the broken and damaged teeth of survivors of domestic violence. Dentists will restore the broken and/or missing teeth, at no cost to the survivor. Program does not replace work that has been already repaired through previous enrollment in the GBAS program or by the survivor's own dentist, or caused by dental care neglect. A dentist will make the final determination. The program is only available to victims of spousal/relationship violence, and specifically excludes dental damage caused by child/elder/sibling/caregiver/parent abuse, violent attacks not related to domestic violence, stranger attacks or accidental injury. Applicants must be out of the abusive relationship at least one year, have had at least one interview to confirm the domestic violence. A signature of a counselor, advocate, social worker, case manager or minister must be provided on the application for acceptance into the program.

Glove House operates two residential programs for adolescents who have been placed into the custody of Social Services and have been adjudicated with a P.I.N.S. or Juvenile Delinquent status. One of our facilities is co-educational and the other is all-male; both accommodate ten residents. All Glove House residents attend public school and participate in community activities. Counseling, guidance and supervision are provided through staff and outside entities. All residents receive independent living skills training as part of their program and treatment.

The After School Program (ASP) is a New York State Office of Children and Family Services school age childcare registered program. The ASP offers educational, social and multicultural activities for children ages 4-10. The ASP contains two specialized programs for Pre-K students and K-5 graders. These programs offer educational, social, multicultural and recreational activities as well as a heavy focus on developmental activities based on age. Each day, participants may choose from activities such as art, recreation, the multicultural activities room and homework assistance. All participants must be registered and snacks are provided. The program operates Monday-Friday and on a number of days that school is closed. The Pre-Teen program is designed to accommodate the special needs of Pre-Teens while they are making the transition from childhood to becoming a teen. The program includes: arts and crafts, cultural activities, science exploration, cooking and special activities. All participants must be registered in the program.
